Organizations such as the Family Travel Association have been rallying the government to change that.“In 2016, Congress passed a law called the Families Flying Together Act, which was supposed to ensure children under the age of 13 would be seated with parents or guardians on flights, but regulations resulting from the law have yet to be drafted by the Federal Aviation Administration,” says Rainer Jenss, President and Founder of the Family Travel Association.
